​A commercial customer in Downtown Seattle that we have been assisting with tree treatments as well as previously performing a large pruning project reached out with an emergency. During a winter windstorm one of their planting strip linden trees failed partially.

We coordinated a rush scheduling for the project and performed the work on a weekend. We notified SDOT of an emergency removal and received approval for our work. We were also able to source a replacement tree. We arrived and removed the failing tree. We were able to grind the stump and retain most of the recently installed porous pavement before planting the replacement. 

The replacement was a silver linden, similar to the littleleaf lindens that had been present, but lacking the honeydew aphid issue the existing trees experience.
