Tree Removal

We believe that tree removal should be a last resort

We view ourselves like veterinarians, we try to keep our patients safe and heathy for as long as is reasonably possible. There are circumstances when tree retention is not safe or practical however. These include:

  • Hazard trees where the hazard can not be mitigated though pruning
  • Trees planted in inappropriate locations
  • Trees causing damage to infrastructure
  • Trees that cannot be retained due to development

Unlike some tree services who are interested in making a quick buck cutting down all your trees, we believe that a return customer is the best kind of customer. Encouraging tree planting retention is not only the best thing we can do for the environment but is also the best thing we can do for the long term health of our business. If we recommend that a tree be removed you can rest assured that there is no reasonable alternative.

If a tree must be removed we employ advanced rigging and climbing techniques to safely and efficiently remove the tree with no impact to your precious property.  We encourage the retention of wildlife snags whenever practical. These snags provide valuable habitat to the local environment as they degrade. We employ special cuts called coronet cuts to simulate a natural tree failure. We can even carve bird boxes which target specific species of birds.
